Some of the best things happen after the party.
In this case, the party is fermentation. Every jar of Shatta starts there. But for us, the process does not stop once the chillies are fermented. The brine left behind is packed with flavour, so we give it a second life. Call it our Fil-osophy.
It becomes the foundation for our Shatta Jam and Shatta Hot Sauce, transforming what would normally be discarded into something bold, bright and full of depth.
One jar brings slow sweetness and gentle heat. The other delivers vibrant, savoury spice.
Spoon it over eggs, layer it into sandwiches, glaze roasted veg, or add a little Fil to whatever’s on the table.
