Filanthropy - Flavour That Makes a Difference

Filanthropy - Flavour That Makes a Difference

Since the very beginning, we’ve believed that as a Palestinian food brand, our Shatta should do more than taste good. It should do good.

Fil was never meant to exist in a vacuum. From day one, our food has been rooted in culture, heritage, and responsibility. Even with limited resources, we’ve always looked for ways to give back. Early on, we told ourselves: build first, so you can give more later. But doing nothing was never an option.

Over the past year and a half, we’ve proudly taken part in charity markets and fundraisers supporting Palestine, with proceeds going directly to organisations doing vital work on the ground. Earlier this year, we took a meaningful step forward by partnering with Al’Ard and other respected Palestinian suppliers of fair-trade olive oil and heritage products.

Today, every jar of Fil Shatta is made using exceptional Palestinian extra virgin olive oil. That means every purchase directly supports Palestinian farmers and producers. Social impact is no longer an add-on or a side effort—it’s embedded into the product itself.

As a Palestinian shatta chili paste made for modern kitchens, this matters deeply to us. We want our food to bring restaurant-quality, authentic Palestinian flavour into the home, while remaining firmly connected to the land, people, and traditions it comes from.

But with the humanitarian and political crisis in Palestine reaching devastating new levels, we know we must do more—and we must do it faster. That’s why, from now on, a portion of every sale will be donated to charities supporting Palestinian causes. We may still be small, but there is no such thing as “too small” when it comes to doing what’s right. Every contribution matters.

We’re starting with three incredible charities doing essential work, which you can learn more about on our new Filanthropy page. We’re committed to full transparency so you can see the impact we’re making together. For those who wish to go further, you can now add a custom donation at checkout.

Fil has always been rooted in purpose. With Filanthropy, this is just the beginning.
